Our place of worship in Ocala, Florida, has many church services available to help you help others and become closer with God. New St. John Baptist Church offers many ministries and church services to help you and others live a more Godly life. Contact our church today to discuss any of our services with our leaders.

Food Ministry

Our food ministry provides food from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Mondays. It's available to anyone interested at no charge. You can choose to come and sit down and have a different meal every week or you can take the meal home with you.

Deaconess Ministry

The purpose of the Deaconesses is to prepare elements for the Lord's Supper, to assist candidates for Baptism, and to minister to those that are suffering and lost. It is the duty of the Deaconesses to visit the sick, pray with the dying, and be available to take up any duty for which willing hands may not be found. Deaconesses are mothers of the church and have been consecrated and set apart for special services.

Sunday School
We offer Sunday school to members and visiting friends as a tool for Christian education. We believe Sunday school plays an important role in the religious training and spiritual growth of the membership of the church. At New St. John Baptist Church, we feel it is our duty to give direction to the study of the Bible and develop vital Christian living and effective church membership through Sunday school. Breakfast is also offered on occasion.

Usher Ministry
The purpose of the usher ministry is to strive to provide a warm and welcome environment for all visitors and members of New St. John Baptist Church by greeting, acknowledging, and assisting all other ministries during worship service. It is the ushers' vow to demonstrate Christian fellowship and promote an atmosphere where all those that enter will feel comfortable and at home. They are ambassadors of kindness, making sure to meet the needs of the congregation during service, to keep distractions to a minimum, and carry out all necessary assignments in a Christ-like way. At New St. John Baptist Church, we believe our ushers prepare a way for God and man to come into a spiritual relationship with each other through smiles, friendly gestures, and overall total concern.

Women's Ministry

This ministry is responsible for prison ministry. They also provide services to seniors from the congregation and others in the area. They participate with the association and conventions missions.

Mass Choir

This is made up of various choirs, including youth choir, children's choir, senior choir, and adult choir. The mass choir is primarily used for pastoral occasions, such as church anniversaries, special occasions, and travels to other churches. Each Sunday, a different choir will perform during our Sunday services. Our musicians provide us with a background for sharing the gospel through music under the direction of our New Minister of Music, Darin Robinson.

Youth Programs

We offer these programs seasonally. They include various recreational activities and some educational activities. These programs and activities are available for school-age children at no cost to parents.

New Members Class

The purpose of this class is to help new members understand our faith, our history, and the member's responsibility to the church. It is the role of this class to interpret, guide, and develop new members in the Christian way of life.

Youth Ministry

The purpose of our youth ministry is to motivate young people to maintain committed lives to Christ and to practice Christian principles. Through our youth ministry, we hope to provide an atmosphere in which our children can develop and demonstrate their skills, talents, and abilities in Christian education. Our youth ministry helps promote Christian fellowship with peers through church activities, such as "Youth Game Night" and "Angels of Praise Dance Group." We believe by offering these activities, our youth will be prepared for the future through Biblical teachings and inspiration.
